The Promise Academy Announces Dorm Director Opening

Share This:

IMG_8475The Promise Academy Dorm Director is the very foundation of the program. The director takes the lead in providing a caring atmosphere that insures safety, structure, and continual opportunities for growth, for the boys placed within their care.  But with that said, the director becomes more than just a caregiver in the eyes of these young men. They become part of the boy’s extended family. They serve as mentor, confidant and friend. The director becomes the catalyst for change and while it is a demanding role, the rewards are life changing.

Within Quakerdale as a whole, the Dorm Director position is an integral part of the larger mission and vision of Quakerdale. Our Mission: “Encouraging hope, faith, and growth in the families and communities we serve.” and our vision, “To Serve as Christ Serves”. The director is to be the immediate and living example of the mission and vision.

SignThe director also has opportunities to live out the mission and vision of Quakerdale by impacting on the communities in the area. They can do so even unintentionally, by just having day-to-day interactions with business people, medical professionals, and other community members as they provide learning opportunities for the boys of the Promise Academy.

What an awesome opportunity to have a direct impact on a young person’s life, to impact people in general and even more so, to serve God in a way that has lifelong impact and themselves.
